On June 30th, academic series events for the centenary anniversary of the university - 2024 SYSBS International Symposium on Frontier Management Research: New Global Contexts and Corporate Strategies was successfully held in the 106 Lecture Hall of the School of Business, No. 6 Lanyuan, East Campus, Guangzhou Campus. More than 100 experts and scholars from well-known universities and research institutions at home and abroad attended the symposium. The symposium invited Emery M. Findley - Distinguished Chair Professor of Miami Herbert Business School, Lu Yadong - Professor of Management, Garry Bruton - Professor of Management of the Neeley School of Business, Texas Christian University, Li Jiatao - Professor of Li Guowei Business of Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and Field Editor of the Journal of International Business Studies, Ari Van Assche - Professor of International Business of École des Hautes Études commerciales de Montréal (HEC Montreal), Editor-in-chief of the Journal of International Business Policy, and fellow of the Academy of International Business, and Victor Cui - Entrepreneurship, Innovation, and Global Strategy Professor of the University of Waterloo, Conrad Distinguished Research Chair Professor, served as keynote speakers, sharing and discussing their latest research findings. The symposium was presided over by Associate Professor Lin Daomi of the School of Business.
After the panel discussion, the conference also organized a roundtable forum presided over by Assistant Professor Zhu Ziyan. Five keynote speakers shared their insights and addressed questions from participants on the challenges and opportunities encountered by Chinese scholars in publishing articles in international journals in the current global context, as well as some valuable research topics in recent years.
