Recently, Professor Li Xinchun of our school accepted an exclusive interview with Nanfang Daily. He first pointed out that "The succession of family businesses is no longer simply a problem of private enterprises, but a key factor affecting the sustainable development of the national and regional economy". In his opinion, as a traditional manufacturing center, Nanhai and even Foshan are under great pressure for industrial transformation and upgrading and innovative development, and higher new requirements are also put forward for family successors. "They should not only be 'keepers of the business', but also play the role of 'the second generation of entrepreneurs'."

Professor Li Xinchun said that family businesses can give full play to their long-term strategic vision and are not distracted by temporary gains and losses. Therefore, only a smooth intergenerational inheritance can enable the enterprises move towards the century-old goal and promote the further rise of the hidden champion enterprises.

"Among them, the key is to nurture their offspring family leaders for the love and sense of mission for the industry, take devotion, industry spirit, and constantly promoting the industry progress and innovation development as long-term mission and social responsibility, use globalization as a stage to establish leadership and influence, inherit tradition and culture, constantly adapt to changes in time and technology, and innovate."Professor Li Xinchun said.
